Aqua Exercise Specialty Leader
The JCC is currently seeking an Aqua Exercise Specialty Leader to conduct safe, challenging and fun-filled aqua classes which meet the needs of a wide range of fitness levels. This individual will demonstrate strong customer service, have a positive attitude, project a positive image of good health and fitness and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of our diverse clientele. Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing customer service support to all members, guests and staff at the JCC. This person provides a first – and lasting – impression of the JCC to our guests and is responsible for greeting all individuals as they check-in, answering questions, registering people for membership and all programs, as well as taking all forms of payment. The CSR must make themselves aware of all meetings and programs being held at the JCC as well as any other programs that may be at a different venue. This staff member must demonstrate a strong customer service ethic as well as being sensitive to the needs of the diverse clientele we have at the JCC. The CSR must be able to multi-task, work independently and be a team player. The Customer Service staff is the first response to an emergency and therefore must be able to stay calm under stress and co-ordinate the appropriate action. Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer – Senior Specialty
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual who can help get our seniors moving! If you have experience in teaching group exercise classes with dance or Zumba® and can modify it to suit our senior population we want you! The Group Exercise Instructor / Personal Trainer reports to the Fitness Coordinator and Director of Fitness and Membership. This position is responsible for ensuring every client experiences the highest caliber of classes and personal training available. Group Exercise Instructors / Personal Trainers will maintain member and client relationships with an enthusiastic, knowledge and professional approach to customer service, classes and personal training sessions. Lifeguard / Swim for Life Instructors
The position of Lifeguard / Swim for Life Instructor at the Calgary JCC includes ensuring safety through prevention. Candidates must display reliability and professionalism along with proficient problem solving and decision-making skills. They must be able to work independently and as a team while providing excellent customer service. Current National Lifeguard certification, standard First Aid and CPR-C and Swim for Life instructor required. AED certification is an asset. Older Adult Leader
Reporting to the Fitness Coordinator and the Director of Fitness and Membership, the Older Adult Leader (OAL), works to conduct a safe, challenging and fun-filled class which meets the needs of a wide range of fitness levels. The OAL educates and promotes healthy living, nutrition and new fitness trends for class participants. The preferred candidate will have current AFLCA, CPR and First Aid certifications. Personal Trainer – Sports Team Trainer
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual who is interested in sports specific and team training. If you have experience in running team fitness sessions we want you! The Personal Trainer reports to the Fitness Coordinator and Director of Fitness and Membership.
