DESCRIPTION:JOIN THE CLUB for an afternoon at Contemporary Calgary – a significant visual arts destination dedicated to modern and contemporary art. We will meet at the Paperny Family JCC and either carpool or Uber. \nWednesday\, August 7 • 1:00pm\nIf interested\, please join us at Karen’s Café at 11:45am for lunch (not included in the price) \nFrom 1:30 to 3:00pm\, we will receive a docent led tour of: \n\nMarcel Dzama – Ghosts of Canoe Lake\nOriginially from Winnipeg\, a contemporary artist who draws from folk vernacular and art historical and contemporary influences.\nWinnie Truong – Curious Nature\nThe exhibition features Truong’s characteristic dioramas and explores harmony\, conflict\, and play between a figure and its environment.\n\nTickets are $15 per person and may be purchased at the JCC Customer Service Desk or by calling 403-253-8600 x0. Please register early for this event as only 18 tickets are available.
