In this four weeks program, participants will learn the fundamental guidelines to gaining confidence in public speaking and creating effective presentations. Topics include “The Rule of Three” as well as tips and tricks to capture an audience’s attention. Most importantly we will practice speaking skills in a safe and encouraging environment that will help dispel public speaking jitters. Open to beginners and more experienced presenters, the course will focus on becoming a creative and compelling speaker. We will grow speaking skills from “No Way” to “No Problem”!
Shelley Werner is an award-winning speaker and experienced presenter. A contract workplace specialist, she was the Division Manager for Contemporary Office Interiors in Manitoba, leading the team to their top volume sales. She served as chair of many boards, including the Manitoba Institute of Child Health and the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba. Having recently relocated to Calgary, she serves on the executive of Fluor Communicators Toastmasters.
