Classic Brownies

Not only is Christina available to help out our members from behind the JCC Customer Service Desk, but she would love to share her Classic Brownies with everyone! This is an easy pantry recipe that is rich and chewy, baked in just 30 minutes!

Bake Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Yield: 16 Servings

 

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • ¼ cup nuts (optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup cooking oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup cold water

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Combine flour, salt, sugar, cocoa, optional nuts in a separate bowl.
  3. Combine vanilla, cooking oil, eggs, and cold water into your mixing bowl. Beat until combined.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients in with wet ingredients. Keeping mixer on medium speed.
  5. Once all combined pour batter into 13” x 9” pan.
  6. Bang pan on counter until all bubbles are gone.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Cool on wire rack. Enjoy!
