Ngaio grew up in Toronto and moved to Calgary to obtain her Physical Education degree at the University of Calgary. After completing her degree, she worked and managed several fitness facilities. She has been at the JCC for a very long time – managing the Fitness and Lifestyle Centre for 11 years. She then decided to take her personal training to the next level and choose to focus strictly on personal training. Once she became a mom, her priorities changed and she decided to obtain a more flexible work schedule. The JCC has allowed her to do just that, which she is grateful for. She started her own personal training business seven years ago: Fitness in Motion and currently trains at the JCC as well as outside the facility at client’s homes. Her passion is to work with clients who want to make positive changes in their lives. When she is not training her clients hard, she enjoys being a hockey mom and making and designing jewelry. Motto: “One has to take time in their busy lives to make a commitment to themselves to keep fit and healthy”.
