For the second time since 2021, Danyael Halprin is thrilled to chair this year’s Jewish Book Festival, a fitting role since she has long inhabited the realm of words. In March, her first children’s picture book, A Magical Passover Starring the Tooth Fairy, was published, surpassing for a time, Judy Blume’s Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. for the number one spot in Jewish children’s fiction on Amazon. For many years, Danyael reviewed books for The Calgary Herald, covering debut novelists to renowned authors. Her eclectic award-winning journalism pieces appear in leading publications across North America.
