With the City of Calgary’s water restrictions now lifted, the hot tub and steam room will reopen on Saturday, January 17.

Date Bark

This Date Bark is highly addictive! It’s chewy, crunchy, nutty, and simply incredible. This recipe is very versatile – you can use any nut you fancy or swap the peanut butter for tahini. The options are endless… enjoy!

 

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Freezer Time: 1 hour
Yield: 6-8 Servings

 

Ingredients

  • 10 dates, sliced in half ⁣
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter⁣
  • 125g of chocolate ⁣
  • ¼ cup of pistachios or any nut you like⁣

Method

  1. Slice your dates in half⁣.
  2. Spread them all on a baking sheet.
  3. With the back of a glass, flatten the dates so they all join together⁣.
  4. Spread the peanut butter on top and then the melted chocolate⁣.
  5. Sprinkle on the chopped pistachios.
  6. Freeze for 1 hour or until set.
